Mallory Fuller

EXECUTIVE PARTNER, GC

Read Mallory's Bio

Mallory first met founder Jim Preish back in 1999 while he was building the house that Mallory was living in. When the profession that had originally brought Mallory to Asheville didn’t work out as planned, Jim and Mallory decided to join forces to grow Preish Construction. Mallory earned his North Carolina General Contractors license building classification in 2002 and is also a National Home Builders Certified Green Professional.

Years later, Mallory still loves coming to work each day to help create custom homes for clients who have dreamed of these plans for years. He thoroughly enjoys the process, the attention to detail, and the follow-through that inevitably brings smiles to the faces of each Preish Construction client, and he is proud to work with Jim and Gary as a well-rounded team featuring excellence in construction, experience in construction, and thoroughness of completion.

Thank you for considering Preish Construction for your custom home!

Gary Pagliaroli

EXECUTIVE PARTNER, GC
Read Gary's Bio

With more than 38 years of experience in the construction industry, Gary first began his career as a framing apprentice back in 1981. As a second-generation construction professional, Gary is proud to follow in his father and uncle’s footsteps, who were a mason and roofer/sider, respectively. He also has two cousins who are framing contractors and his brother is a trim carpenter. It’s safe to say that building houses is in his blood.

After working as lead framer for Preish Construction for 20 years (and as a framing contractor for 15 more), Gary hung up his belt in 2018 and joined the Preish Construction team. He enjoys the technical detail of putting complex things together and creating beautiful homes for clients to enjoy for generations.

Mark Murphy

EXECUTIVE PROJECT MANAGER, GC

Read Mark's Bio

Mark joins us as a transplant from Chagrin Falls, Ohio. It was there that he turned a love of carpentry into a custom home building career. Thinking he was retiring in 2020, he closed up shop mid-covid, and moved to North Carolina – Biltmore Lake. Mark’s wife Cheryl was soon out meeting the neighbors, including everyone’s favorite builder, Jim Preish. Jim suggested Mark tag along to see what Preish Inc. was up to one day, and, as they say, the rest is history. Who wants to retire when you can keep doing what you love?

Mark’s specialty is paying attention to every detail, and getting it right for our clients. Being a sole proprietor in charge of managing 2 & 3 million dollar projects was not only challenging, but extremely rewarding. It is no wonder that some of his homes are featured on websites and in magazines, including Architectural Digest.

Mark joined Preish Construction because he saw a team that takes great pride in building beautiful high quality custom homes, with an eye towards energy efficiency and sustainable building practices. We are excited to welcome Mark Murphy to the Preish team!

Read Jim's Bio

Born in 1948 in Royal Oak, Michigan, founder Jim Preish earned both his undergraduate degree in Industrial Supervision/Industrial Engineering and his MBA from Western Michigan University. He then moved to North Carolina in 1970 to begin a career working for various large manufacturing firms, including Taylor Instrument Company in Asheville, where he worked from 1973 until he launched Preish Construction in 1986.

When he first incorporated Preish Construction Inc., Jim had only built a few houses. But since that time, Preish Construction has built several hundred homes and has a string of happy and satisfied clients. In 2016, Jim sold the company to his business partner, Mallory Fuller, and continues to work side-by-side with both Mallory and Gary Pagliaroli.
